Data controller

The data controller is the site publisher, which operates MySkillz (see the “Site publisher” section above). For any questions about your data: hello@myskillz.pro.

Data collected

Through the form: your full name, your company or organisation, your email address, your message and, if you provide them, your phone number and the target profession.

Like any web server, our hosting provider’s server records technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested). This data is used solely for the security of the site and to prevent abusive submissions.

Why we use it

• To respond to your request and follow it up: information, meeting, proposal.

We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not sell your data.

Legal basis

Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw it.

If your request leads to a proposal or a contract, we process the data needed to follow it up (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

For the server’s technical data and the protection of the form against abusive submissions, as well as for requests received directly by email or by phone: our legitimate interest in securing the site and responding to the business enquiries sent to us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing.

Who has access

Only the MySkillz team reads your messages. The site, the form and our email service are hosted by our processor Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland), whose server forwards form submissions to our address hello@myskillz.pro. Our technical service providers act only on our instructions. We do not pass your data on to any other third party, unless required by law.

The European Commission recognises Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and our correspondence for 3 years after our last contact, then delete them. If we go on to work together, the necessary documents are kept for as long as the law requires, in particular for accounting purposes.

If a request could not be forwarded to us by email, it is kept temporarily on our hosting provider’s server, in a folder that cannot be accessed from the web. Once it has been dealt with, it is deleted from that server, and the same retention period then applies as for other requests.

The hashed form of your IP address, used to prevent abusive submissions, is deleted after one hour. The server’s technical logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period, then deleted.

Your rights

At any time, you can:

• access your data and obtain a copy of it;
• have it corrected or completed;
• have it erased;
• restrict its use or object to it;
• receive it in a commonly used format (portability);
• withdraw your consent.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority: Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The form’s anti-spam protection runs on our own server, with no external service and no “captcha” test.
